THANK YOU

Dear Thankful Readers,

There is so much to be thankful for. And not because it’s Thanksgiving but gratitude fills your heart. It’s overflowing.

There is no shortage of thankfulness in my heart. It’s how I start my day and how I end my day… with gratitude in my heart.

My husband travels monthly. Sometimes he is gone 2, 3, 4 weeks at a time. I care for my boys and the dog while he is out of town, among other things. The other day he texted me: “Have a great day, Boo. Love ya and thank you for loving us and taking care of us.”

Now, this hasn’t been an easy task to take care of the boys while he is out of town. We have been doing this for a year and a half. Some days I rock it. I stay in a high vibration. Things are flowing. The boys are in great moods with good attitudes. But other days I am wiped. The boys may not be in alignment and/ or I may not be in alignment. I have a headache. Sometimes I cry and get frustrated. But I think this is temporary. Breathe Jennifer. Breathe. You can do this. You are strong. And I practice healthy self-care: nap, meditate, exercise, eat healthy, take my vitamins, pray, read. When I am out of alignment, I can’t ask the kids to get me in alignment. In fact, I can’t ask my husband or anyone to get me in alignment. I have to choose to get back in alignment when I need to empty the dishwasher, do homework, cook dinner, take care of cuts and scrapes, make lunch, walk the dog, help with the homework, etc. And during the moments…

It’s a quick shift to realize what is important in these moments… instead of focusing on the “what if’s.” All I have are these moments… however fleeting that they may be.

What are you grateful for?

When you are in alignment and out of alignment, do you practice gratitude?

Are you aware of these present and precious moments?

Are you showing appreciation and receiving appreciation?

Do you feel loved and are you extending love?

Are you caring for yourself and then others?

Thankful,
Jennifer
