FOR THE FUN

Dear Adventurous Readers,

I decided to try something new on Sunday. I took the boys to Oceanside Harbor. They both asked, “Why are we here?” I said, “To chill and enjoy life.”

We looked at the boats. I said, “Do you guys want to get a boat?” Both of them were surprised by my question. I said, “Why not?” We can enjoy it and make wonderful memories. Little by little, they conceded with the idea.

Lucas asked, “What are we going to do the rest of the day? I replied, “We are going to have fun and explore.”

We observed the cute dogs, the red parrot, the gigantic bubbles, the excited kids.

We walked by the restaurants. Each of them selected a different one. The mom in me had to make a decision. And I chose Italian. As we sat overlooking the water, I watched both boys unwind and settle into the present moment.

Lucas wanted dippin’ dots for dessert. Gabriel selected gelato. As each boy chose, the other boy questioned. Neither selection was good or bad. They were staying in alignment by making a decision.

We enjoyed a walk on the beach. I took my shoes off and dipped my feet in the ocean. The boys ran. And we stopped at a big rock. Lucas and I decided to climb the rocks which ran the distance of a pier. Gabriel asked, “Why are we doing this?” I commented, “For the experience.”

As we walked back to the car, Lucas noticed a playground set. I engaged, “Go for it.” Lucas grabbed the monkey bars. I enjoyed the swing. Gabriel nestled on the swing next to me, but he was ready to go.

When we left, everyone was fully present. No one was rushing here or there. Thoughts weren’t in the future or the past. They were in the stillness of the moment.

Sometimes you need to be flexible. Go with the flow! Try new experiences. Say yes to life. And why? For the fun.

When life becomes too rigid, you miss the opportunities that are here now. You become stuck in the routine, rationality, reality. But you want to create a different reality.

You change your vibration and choose to be happy. And have fun on the journey!

Having fun,
Jennifer
