Dear Epigenetic Readers,
Epigenetics means above or on top of genetics and refers to external modifications to DNA that turn genes “on” or “off. The modifications don’t change the DNA sequence, but affects how cells read the genes.
Hmm. External modifications are so important. It is not just genetics that come into play, but it’s your environment that plays an important role in who you really are.
How is your environment?
Your physical environment?
Your physical body?
How are your relationships?
What are the external modifications to your DNA that can turn genes on and off?
What are you suppressing?
What are you expressing?
“The world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking.” ~ Albert Einstein. Our thoughts play a crucial role in our environment. A life of alignment or misalignment, a life of allowing or resisting, a life of dis-ease or ease.
What about your thoughts? What thoughts are you allowing in?
What thoughts left the station like a run-away train?
What thoughts have you daydreamed about? Fantasized about?
What thoughts are changing your DNA? Your well-being?
We think — I’ll take piano lessons… soon. I’ll start eating healthier… come Monday. I’ll exercise more… when summer rolls around. I’ll pick up that paint brush… one day. I’ll call my friend… when I have time. I’ll quit my job and start my entrepreneurial business… when the time is right. I’ll get pregnant… when I have enough money. I’ll tell my spouse I’m sorry… when they say it first.
But the more we suppress, the possibility of turning genes “on” and “off” can occur. The more we suppress, we open ourselves up to disease. Dis-ease means you have lost the ease to life. But the good thing is it can be recreated. It begins with your thoughts. Our environment cannot be changed until our thinking is changed. Once our thinking changes, we can express who we really are.
What thoughts are you expressing?
What environment have you manifested?
What external modifications can you make now to your environment?
Remember, if you don’t like what you see, you get to change that environment.
“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.” ~ Leo Tolstoy. So true! People want to leave an impact on the world but the greatest legacy you can leave is how much you evolved as a human being. I had to change my thoughts to create the life I wanted. I had to imagine, visualize, verbalize, and believe a new story. I had to reboot my “thinking” computer and upgrade “feeling” software. I had to invite a new reality, and I had to take every thought captive to fight for what I really desired. The inner peace. Stability. Unconditional love. Compassion. Understanding. The joy. The triumph. The sweet victory in every dimension of my life.
Change your thoughts. And you change your reality. You change collective consciousness. And therefore, you change the world. How about that for an epigenetic legacy?
Externally Modifying, Internally Changing… Epigenetically,
